Description:

glpk is installed as a dependancy of octave during a standard installation of the latter via pacman (pacman -S octave)

That it is installed and the library present can be confirmed by :

ldconfig -p | grep glpk
libglpk.so.35 (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/lib/libglpk.so.35
libglpk.so (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/lib/libglpk.so

Despite this, any octave code that invokes glpk fails with the following error:

error: glpk: not supported on this system
error: called from:
error: /usr/share/octave/3.6.4/m/optimization/glpk.m at line 594, column 32

Additional info:
Using octave 3.6.4-3 from extra
glpk 4.53-1 from extra

Steps to reproduce:

Install octave with 'pacman -S octave', open octave '>> octave' and execute any code that calls glpk.
