glpk is installed as a dependancy of octave during a standard installation of the latter via pacman (pacman -S octave) That it is installed and the library present can be confirmed by : ldconfig -p | grep glpk libglpk.so.35 (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/lib/libglpk.so.35 libglpk.so (libc6,x86-64) => /usr/lib/libglpk.so Despite this, any octave code that invokes glpk fails with the following error: error: glpk: not supported on this system error: called from: error: /usr/share/octave/3.6.4/m/optimization/glpk.m at line 594, column 32 Additional info: Using octave 3.6.4-3 from extra glpk 4.53-1 from extra Steps to reproduce: Install octave with 'pacman -S octave', open octave '>> octave' and execute any code that calls glpk. |
