DetailsIt seems that xorg-server from the Testing repo does not depend, directly or indirectly, on libxres. Without libxres, Gnome applets will fail to work, and there are probably other problems associated with the missing library. Also, the errors produced when the library is missing tend to be vague and not all that informative, so the actual fix is not very intuitive, despite its simplicity.
