An optional dependency isn't enough either. After an upgrade of my system it was virtually unusable because openbox didn't have librsvg. Real work without a window manager is impossible. Until I got help in #archlinux I was really in a quandry as there were no obvious indications what was wrong. Fixed by: pacman -S librsvg
