Description:
The dependency on colord is not necessary and only a fraction of gtk programs actually use this thing. Colord has its own rats tail of dependencies, among them polkit and others that are not required by gtk.

I don't think anyone can argue that having more things than necessary installed is 'a good thing'™, so I would very much like to see unnecessary dependencies gone.

Gtk3 build just fine without colord, maybe it's possible to have colord as an optdepend and have the programs actually using colord depend on colord?

Additional info:
* package version(s)
gtk3-3.8.4-1

Steps to reproduce:
Try to install gtk3 on a slim system or use some tool to see the dependency graph.
This task depends upon

AFAIK, it can not be an optional dependency if support is compiled in. You can rebuild gtk3 with ABS if you do not want it.
