Do you mean as make dependencies? Added several packages as make dependencies, rebuilt and uploaded mtpaint 3.40-10 to [community]. Does it work for you now?
I mean, when i want to use mtpaint, i should install mtpaint and then install giflib manually.
Because after executing 'pacman -S mtpaint' i don't see that mtpaint needs some libs to open gif images, which occurs often enough.
And when i open gif image without knowledge, that mtpaint needs some extra libs, and what libs are needed, i spend extra time to find out what should i do.
I can use some other lightweight image editor, but i think mtpaint is optimal for me. And so, i decided to write this issue.
Sorry for my bad english, i'm learning it by linux manuals:)
Do you mean that it should be an optional dependency instead?
If you're learning english from linux manuals, I'm impressed.
Do you get an error message if you just install mtpaint and then open a gif file?
