The new package of Aegisub compiled to use with new wxgtk2.9 version doesn't show the menu bar. Additional info: * Removed ~/.aegisub dir to ensure it's not a problem with old versions config files. Steps to reproduce: Open Aegisub

This is a known bug which has been reported upstream already. I'll add the bug report URL here when upstream's site is back on.
