Description:
Porblem with x2go and locale under arch.
It seems a archlinux specific isue.

- äöü can not be display in the konsole programm of kde. ( (2/2) Prüfe Schlüssel im Schlüsselring )
- Kde is 2/3 english and 1/3 german.
- the keyboard layout under X is german, but it has various problems e.g. with the arrow buttons.

Additional info:
- kde 4.11
- x2goserver 4.0.1.6-1
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce: (my setup)
- a virtual machine with kvm ( archlinux 64bit)
- ssh port redirect to the internet
- set all locale to german
- install x2goserver, kde
- connect
- the system locale is german but kde is english ...
- set in kdesettings etherthing to german

. /etc/profile
in the startup script you use and all should be fine

I use something like this:

[andyrtr@workstation64 trunk]$ cat /usr/bin/startxfce4_locale.sh
#!/bin/sh

export LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
export LC_COLLATE=C
# . /etc/profile
exec startxfce4

This should be put somewhere into our wiki as workround. I'm still looking for proper keyboard settings to a desired layout. Upstream has seen some commits lately but not yet a release.

I'm not sure if this all is Arch specific because of our /etc and systemd layout or an upstream issue.

Mmh my startupscript looks now like this.

#!/bin/bash
export LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
setxkbmap de &
/etc/profile
exec startkde

#EOF

that dot at "/etc/profile" i your script, im not sure, but its wrong, isnt it?

You need the dot to source this file, this is as it should be.
