This is just a heads up before upower 0.9.21 moves to
[extra]...
Currently testing/upower is compiled without pm-utils support. This makes suspending/hubernating from within xfce4-session impossible as xfce4 hasn't yet caught up [1]. I realize that xfce4 shouldn't hold back the rest of the distro (and personally would like to see pm-utils go), but currently xfce users who use [testing] have a crippled desktop... So, maybe reentroduce "--enable-deprecated", or make a news item and wait for the upstream [1] while keeping upower in [testing]? Thanks, Leonid. [1] https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9952 |
