Description:

It seems that since some update Archlinux on my computer is the only system which doesn't "see" my pendrive. It works on Windows on my PC, Ubuntu on other PC, my laptop with (much) older Archlinux. I can use 3 other pendrives, though, and a USB mouse and scanner. I have tested this pendrive in other USB sockets as well, including those directly connected to motherboard.

When this problem started, I treated this pendrive with dd if=/dev/zero bs=512 count=1 of=/dev/sdc, cfdisk (one primary partition with 0B W95 FAT32 type), mkfs.msdos /dev/sdc1, then I checked it with Windows's checkdisk. Works like charm, but not on my Archlinux.

I guess this has something to do with udev configuration but I can't be sure. Here you can see what kernel and udev are trying to do in order to make it work:

Funny enough, the pendrive is visible after few minutes after plugging in with fdisk /dev/sdc, it can also be mounted and explored but it's not being displayed within xfce.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
systemd 204-3
udisks 1.0.4-8
linux 3.10.3-1 (base)

With 3.10.5-1 it still doesn't work, I guess the patch is not in mainline yet.
