Details

Since some Time (i think since Monday) my mcabber doesn't connect to my Jabber/XMPP Server anymore. Other Client like PSI oder gajim still works with the same server and credentials.

I attached a Trace Log from mcabber. The Last things i can see is "Connecting to server: jabber.stefan-betz.net", the TCP Connection stays until i close mcabber.

A rebuild of the Package on my system doesn't bring any success.

Have you tried downgrading gnutls to a version before 3.2.3-1? 3.2.2-1 still works for me. I haven't investigated this further (sorry) but this might be worth a look.

Yes, Downgrade to gnutls 3.2.2-2 works for me.

can it be reproduced with other loudmouth based clients, with freetalk for example?

I tested Freetalk, no success :(

Try gnutls-3.2.4-1. Haven't had any problems with it, yet.

OK, loudmouth gets no rebuild with openssl :(

No working mcabber with gnutls-3.2.4-1 on my system, Server is jabber.stefan-betz.net.

Any Ideas how to fix this Issue?

Any news? Using gajim meanwhile… :(

Stefan: You can use loudmouth with openssl instead of gnutls (AUR package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/loudmouth-ossl/).

loudmouth-ossl works for me, except my cert is a wildcard cert not accepted by it :D

It works for me with the following packages:
- gnutls 3.2.8-1
- loudmouth 1.4.3-4
- mcabber 0.10.2-1

Could you still reproduce the problem?
