Description:
I have some problem with gnome-themes-standard, or Gnome in general, I don't know : if I select the default timed wallpaper (/usr/share/themes/Adwaita/backgrounds/adwaita-timed.xml), it isn't displayed and I got instead a blue wallpaper. It's the same for GDM with the default wallpaper, on screen unlock, the wallpaper is blue. Additional info: * package version : 3.8.3-1 * config : xf86-video-intel 2.21.12-1, intel-dri 9.1.5-1, linux 3.10.3-1, 32 bits on LVM, 1024*600. * screenshot : http://pix.toile-libre.org/?img=1375133392.png Steps to reproduce: Install Arch Linux, install Gnome, enable gdm.service and related gnome stuff, create user, install the needed packages. That's all I did (reinstalled because I changed my disk). Another config where it's fine : * 64 bits, nVidia GTX260 (nouveau or nvidia), 1920*1200, no problem * 64 bits, Intel (Sandy Bridge), 1280*1024 and 1360*768, no problem * 32 bits, ATI HD3650 (xf86-video-ati), 1920*1080, LVM + software RAID, no problem |

lspci | grep VGA gives me : « VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller »
The Wikipedia page of Intel Graphics units, the N4xx/N5xx series are GMA 3150. The processor on my netbook is the N450.
I updated mutter (and GDM and xf86-video-intel by the way) to the latest stable release, but nothing changed in my case.
# pacman -U https://www.archlinux.org/packages/testing/i686/cogl/download/
(common stuff of download and install, nice to see that pacman handles tmp files)
# pacman -Qs cogl
local/cogl 1.14.0-5
As you may see on the screenshot, the wallpaper isn't displaying this time also.
