DetailsThe gift-0.11.5 PKGFILE (pkgrel=2) script invokes ./configure as follows:
-------- ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-perl \ --enable-libdb --disable-imagemagick --enable-gnutella -------- Since gift(d) itself does not require nor support Berkeley DB support, and since the Perl support is deprecated and will be removed in the next major giFT release, giFT 0.12, it is safe to remove both the --enable-libdb and the --enable-perl switches. Actually this is just some sort of a visual cleanup as these switches don't do anything anyway. Hence, configure may be invoked like this: -------- ./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-imagemagick --enable-gnutella -------- w/o breaking anything :-) |

Manolis,
feel free to just make the changes in the PKGBUILD and commit it, there is no need to rebuild or upload the packages, but the changes would be saved for next time.
Just talked to some guys on #gift; they said ImageMagick support is considered stable and working, so disabling it shouldn't be necessary.
Also the --enable-gnutella option is obsolete since the Gnutella plugin is distributed as a separate package.
Just calling './configure' w/o any options should do the job, and does for me for several weeks now :)
Also, removing this switch would require to upload the new binary...
