For the "Zenmap (as root)" application to actually launch, it needs one of this commands: gksu, kdesu or ktsuss (according to /usr/share/zenmap/su-to-zenmap.sh) If the user doesn't have any of them installed, clicking on the menu icon fails silently not notifying the user that something's missing. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install nmap and pygtk as suggested by the nmap package. 2. Try to run the "Zenmap (as root)" menu icon. |
