Description:
Visiting a bunch of site, prominently www.salon.com or the new google maps interface causes xserver to crash

As far as I can tell, this is unrelated to flash. Youtube works fine with flash video

A similar crash just happened to me, although I'm using the intel driver and I was launching evince.
