Description:

Retire KDM as the default display manager of KDE in favor of SDDM.

A similar proposal was accepted by the Fedora, see https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/SDDMinsteadOfKDM

There is no "default display manager" in Arch. You have to enable the display manager you want yourself manually. So what are you exactly proposing?

We do not have a "default" DM for KDE.
Blame KDE for shipping KDM with kde-workspace. KF5 will not ship KDM anymore but LightDM or SDDM.
