Description:

Using ncmpcpp, ogg music files are skipped (not played) and pressing "i" for info on an ogg file causes ncmpcpp to segfault.

Problem solved for me simply by rebuilding mpd via abs.

Additional info:
* package version(s)

mpd 0.17.4-1
ncmpcpp 0.5.10-4

* config and/or log files etc.

I have no such problem with mpc and ncmpc. Both play and show information about ogg files just fine.

Could you check that your problem is fixed with mpd-0.17.4-3 from [testing]?

I reinstalled mpd 0.17.4-1 before testing 0.17.4-3 and for some reason it worked fine.
I've never seen a reinstalled package fix a segfault before, I didn't even think to try it.
Looks like I've wasted our time, sorry.

Unsurprisingly 0.17.4-3 works fine as well :)

Thank You
