Description:

Because qemu has many options, it is easier to use when the documentation and man page are installed. However, these are not installed by the install target of qemu's Makefile, and must instead be installed with the install-doc target.

This is a feature request to include the qemu documentation in arch, which is as simple as adding "install-doc" to the make install command. A tiny patch is attached.

Additional info:
* package version(s)

qemu-1.5.1-2

* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:

$ man qemu
No manual entry for qemu
$ lynx /usr/share/doc/qemu/qemu-doc.html

Can't Access `file://localhost/usr/share/doc/qemu/qemu-doc.html'
Alert!: Unable to access document.

lynx: Can't access startfile

What about  FS#36108  ?

My patch would fix that issue, too. However, in practice the qemu-doc.html file is more important than the man page, so I'm requesting that both be included.

not working here, seems I miss a package during packaging for the docs.

Can you elaborate on what is not working? I tested my patch with "makepkg -s" in a clean mkarchroot environment (64-bit only, though). It installs some dependencies, but then the package includes the man pages and html files.

Note that it does require pod2man, which is in /usr/bin/core_perl. Is it possible you have a non-default PATH environment that does not include that directory and that the PKGBUILD is not resetting the environment?
