Details https://www.archlinux.org/packages/differences/ says that xdelta3 has not been updated for i686.
I found the bug report that says xdelta3 3.0.7 does not compile in 32bit architectures: http://code.google.com/p/xdelta/issues/detail?id=161 After applying the patch http://code.google.com/p/xdelta/issues/attachmentText?id=161&aid=1610001000&name=regtest_size_t&token=b_S_bl9eNoGNP6T5ULMzJHPBh3c%3A1373713816675 it compiled fine.
