Additional comments about closing:  Since mdns is appended to the line it means it falls back to mdns lookups where it would normally have just failed. It doesn't slow things down noticably (we're talking ms at most) and the sed command is pretty bullet-proof. I figured it was ok to automate things that doesn't have any drawbacks since some of the shells does it too. Anyway, upgrading to 0.7-2 will disable it and tell the user how to enable manually. 0.7-3 will not do any magic at all, only give the instructions on install.
