Description:
in the wpa_supplicant service file there is a typo with a double slash:
ExecStart=/usr/sbin//wpa_supplicant -u

As an added note, the binary is actually being put in /usr/bin, so the service file doesn't work as packaged. (Just to differentiate from just-a-typo for any severity purposes.)

/usr/sbin is symlinked to /bin and /bin is symlinked to /usr/bin so it should work.

Sure enough -- I forgot about that change two months ago. Something had apparently recreated a /usr/sbin dir on my laptop, and that was breaking it. Apologies, my mistake!

(Though I still think it would make sense to point the exec in the service file to the known actual location of the binary, though that's obviously minutia.)
