Description: In LibreOffice Writer 4.0.4, the ruler on the
top of the page is too thin, and as a result unusable. Also
the numbers inside the ruler do not appear at all (UI font:

Do the numbers inside the ruler appear on your computer?

Be sure to have only one of the above installed. If you want to try the other, uninstall the previous one. I am on KDE as well, and my base font size for the entire desktop is 11pt, so you might want to replicate that.
Changing the base font size with libreoffice-kde does not help.
All this is observed on both my computers (which have mostly similar installations).
