Description:
Python 3.3.2 package doesn't seem to be compiled with "readline module" support. When executing "$ python" knowing that the file ~/.pythonrc exists on the system and contains:

# ~/.pythonrc
# enable syntax completion
try:
import readline
except ImportError:
print "Module readline not available."
else:
import rlcompleter
readline.parse_and_bind("tab: complete")


it prints :

Python 3.3.2 (default, May 21 2013, 15:40:45)
[GCC 4.8.0 20130502 (prerelease)] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
File "/home/simon/.pythonrc", line 6
print "Module readline not available."
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
