with mutter-3.14.2-1 I can't reproduce the bug because both with or without gnome-themes-standard-3.14.2-1 I get this crash:

[mattia@arch-desktop ~]$ mutter

(mutter:5810): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.mouse' is not installed

Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

EDIT: installing gnome-settings-daemon-3.14.2-1 solved the issue (reported the bug) and I can confirm the bug: launching mutter without gnome-themes-standard mutter doesn't start and returns:

Window manager error: Could not find a theme! Be sure /usr/share/themes exists and contains the usual themes.

Just to confirm that installing gnome-themes-standard doesn't fix it:

$ mutter

(mutter:9112): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.mouse' is not installed

Do I need to install more packages or run something else to make this work? I am using Awesome WM.

Since version 3.16, mutter uses the default GTK+ 3 theme, so this issue is no longer valid.
