DetailsDescription:
It seems that my issues with this driver never end. For some time I've been having this strange problem where my bandwidth seems to be suddenly capped below 1M (I have 6M) after a while. Restarting the network connection fixes it, but I usually have to do so many times every hour. Additional info: From lsusb, adapter is "050d:945a Belkin Components F7D1101 v1 Basic Wireless Adapter [Realtek RTL8188SU]". Other computers in the house don't have this problem, and I also don't recall having any issues when I ran Windows here. Wireless network uses WEP. The biggest problem with trying to study this behavior is that it's completely unpredictable, maybe it's fine now but right after I post this comment it will drop again. :S
I've been considering this could be just a hardware problem, the adapter overheating or something, although sometimes it's not really hot when it happens.
