Totem automatically installs its Mozilla plugin, but as that seems to cause problems in Firefox, I would prefer to use mplayer-plugin. However, at the moment, the only way to do that is to uninstall the plugin, and thusly Totem.

Reason for closing:  Fixed
Additional comments about closing:  result: totem, totem-xine and totem-plugin.
The plugin doesn't depend on an engine, the mozilla-viewer application included in an engine does.

I also think the totem plugins should be optional. Maybe a separate totem-mozilla-plugins pkg?

Andrew:
To use mplayer-plugin with Totem installed, just move out the totem plugins from /opt/mozilla-plugins. Of course you'll have to remember and clean up the files manually, when the package changes.

it will be split, but the problem lies with this:
- totem-xine
- totem
- totem-mozilla-plugin
- totem-xine-mozilla-plugin

We are considering removing totem-xine in favor for gxine, and split totem into totem and totem-mozilla-plugin.
What do yoiu guys think of it ?

Hans, I suppose what I'm getting at is that this shouldn't be necessary.

Arjan, this sounds good. With the release (hopefully soon) of gstreamer 0.10, I think this would be a good decision.
