DetailsDescription:
For GTK desktop integration I always used libreoffice-gnome, but some time ago gconf became a dependency of it for no need. Because GTK is so wide spread and not only gnome specific and some users just don’t want gconf it should become an optional dependency for it again. On a simple test (pacman -Rdd gconf after isntalling libreoffice-gnome) it worked as expected: LibreOffice used the GTK theme and no error messages apperead. gconf is just not needed for libreoffice-gnome. Additional info: * libreoffice-gnome 4.0.4-1 * libreoffice-common 4.0.4-1 * libreoffice-writer 4.0.4-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. install libnreoffice-common and libreoffice-writer 2. install libreoffice-gnome 3. force-remove gconf 4. LibreOffice still looks good and there are no error messages without gconf |
This task depends upon
"andyrtr, checked the sources, it uses gconf to retrieve proxy settings and stores 2 keys in gconf if you enable lockdown mode"
So we can't make it an optional dependency.
