What locale? I suspect this is a localization problem, not a code problem. Output looks just fine with LANG=C

Cannot reproduce, everything looks OK here.
What version of pacman, what terminal are you using or tty?
Comment by James Fallon (fallon9111) - Monday, 17 June 2013, 22:16 GMT
I get the error in xfce4-terminal and tty. I haven't tested other terminals. Locale should be en_GB (english_Great-Britain)

Yes, it is a locale issue. When I run:
$ LANG=c pacman -Q -h
there is no mis-align

Also, as stated above, the version of pacman is 4.1.1
