Gvfs needs polkit authentication agent to work. GNOME provides one by itself, but Gvfs can be used in Xfce with Thunar. You need polkit-gnome (or maybe any other authentication agent) when not using it in GNOME. |

xfce should have polkit-gnome as dependency and not gvfs.
