Description: JRuby package contains files meant for other
platforms, those can be safely removed during packaging, in
my opinion. I suggest adding the following lines to the
PKGBUILD:
rm opt/jruby/bin/*.{bat,dll,exe} rm -r opt/jruby/lib/native/{arm-Linux,Darwin,i386-SunOS,i386-Windows,ppc-AIX,sparcv9-SunOS,x86_64-FreeBSD,x86_64-SunOS,x86_64-Windows} rm opt/jruby/tool/nailgun/ng.exe Additional info: * jruby 1.7.4-1 |

How much does that save us?

About 4 MB. But even if it's not all that much, does it hurt us?
