DetailsDescription:
The nortel-vpnc package does not work after upgrade. vpnc: can't open /dev/net/tun, check that it is either device char 10 200 or (with DevFS) a symlink to ../misc/net/tun (not misc/net/tun): No such device vpnc: can't initialise tunnel interface: No such device Additional info: * package version: linux 3.9.4-1 (Build Date Sun May 26 11:08:30 2013) Happens with 'vpnc-nortel' package (from AUR). I also complied with the latest upstream version of source, and the results are the same. open("/dev/net/tun", O_RDWR) = -1 ENODEV (No such device) write(2, "vpnc: ", 6vpnc: ) = 6 write(2, "can't open /dev/net/tun, check t"..., 131can't open /dev/net/tun, check that it is either device char 10 200 or (with DevFS) a symlink to ../misc/net/tun (not misc/net/tun)) = 131 write(2, ": No such device", 16: No such device) = 16 write(2, "\n", 1 ) = 1 write(2, "vpnc: ", 6vpnc: ) = 6 write(2, "can't initialise tunnel interfac"..., 33can't initialise tunnel interface) = 33 write(2, ": No such device", 16: No such device) = 16 write(2, "\n", 1 ) = 1 exit_group(1) = ? Bizarrely if i look the device it is there, and even the major & minor numbers match. $ ls -l /dev/net/tun crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 10, 200 May 28 09:20 /dev/net/tun Steps to reproduce: I am not completely sure. |
