Details

Description:

Compressed textures appear as black because the texture decompression lib is not listed in the package dependencies.

Installing libtxc_dxtn solves the issue.

-> please add libtxc_dxtn in the package dependencies.

Additional info:
* flightgear 2.10.0-2
* Observed on x64, with Intel4000 graphic card


Steps to reproduce:
Start fgfs (any aircraft, any airport...); no scenery is shown. Even the airplane panel controls are not drawn.

libtxc_dxtn was added as an optional dependency to intel-dri since mesa 9.1.5-1. I don't think it would be a good way to add libtxc_dxtn to dependencies of a game, because it's a video driver issue, and users of proprietary drivers don't need to install this package. It's already mentioned on the wiki page of Intel Graphics, I think it should be enough: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Intel#Black_textures_in_video_games
