DetailsDescription:
There are duplicate files in the db package: 1) /usr/lib/libdb.a /usr/lib/libdb-5.3.a (some timestamps apparently differ, but the extracted contents are identical) 2) /usr/lib/libdb_cxx.a /usr/lib/libdb_cxx-5.3.a (absolutely identical) Additional info: * db 5.3.21-1 Steps to reproduce: ls -li /usr/lib/libdb*.a diff -s /usr/lib/libdb_cxx*.a diff -s <(ar p /usr/lib/libdb.a) <(ar p /usr/lib/libdb-5.3.a) Actual result: distinct files with same content (except for some timestamps). Expected result: symlinked files, just like the corresponding shared objects are, or no -5.3 files at all. |

I plan to remove all static libs in the next update .. so duplicate should disappear too.

Static libs are gone and the .so's are symlinks.
