Description: Gnome 3.8 has clock set as 24 Hr by default. Changing it to AM/PM does not change it instantly like before. Changing clock to AM/PM then pressing alt + f2 then r makes gnome freeze. Restarting GDM and trying to log in gives black screen. Usually to get back in to gnome a reboot is required or sometimes clearing config files is needed. I have also tried changing the clock to AM/PM and then logging out and back in but clock does not change. This is on a brand new installation.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
-Change clock to AM/PM
-Press alt + f2
-press r to reload gnome

I believe this has been fixed upstream. I had this issue in gnome-shell 3.8.1 (The error mentioned the file /usr/share/gnome-shell/js/ui/dateMenu.js[1]). I no longer have this problem. However even downgrading back to 3.8.1 doesn't re-introduce the problem, so perhaps that .js file is just what made the underlying bug surface. Either way, it doesn't happen any more to me.
