Details

Description:
Can't turn off messages in gnome-shell via the upper right hand corner. When I try to turn from "available" to "offline", I click the list below my name, but I don't get a menu. Subsequently, if I hover above any extension above the menu, the extensions immediately show their menus.

Gnome-shell-3.8.2-2

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade to gnome-shell 3.8.2-2 and try to switch user status via the upper right hand corner.

I see that the case is marked as "fixed" since 3/14/2013. When can we expect to see this fix in Arch Linux?

It's been fixed for 2 days, not 2 months. Give upstream some time to make a new release.

Could we maybe port this patch downstream? It's commited to officiall tree, so we wouldn't break our policies.

Rationale:
The support and release-cycle of GNOME isn't really reliable. After the 2nd point-release further support releases are possible, but not guaranteed.
