After upgrading from linux-3.8.11-1 to linux-3.9.2-1, mute/unmute no longer works in amixer or alsamixer. It works again if I downgrade the linux package. Hardware: This is a Lenovo ThinkPad T500. Another workaround: use PulseAudio by adding start-pulseaudio-x11
to ~/.xinitrc.
Status on 3.10.x?
Still present on 3.10.3-1.
Still present on 3.10.6-2, but there's now a patch to fix the
issue:
