DetailsAs of 4.80.1-2, the exim package no longer provides any binaries in /usr/sbin/. This breaks a default configured mutt, mailx and probably many more. Perhaps it would be good if this package could continue to provide at least a symlink at /usr/sbin/sendmail (and perhaps also mailq, rmail, rsmtp and runq as well; as I guess those are all binaries that exim provides in its role as generic smtp-server). Perhaps there is an overall idea of moving away from sbin (I think I've read something like that, but I may be wrong), but until /usr/sbin is a symlink to /usr/bin, I think it would be polite to try and not cause this kind of breakage. |
