It should probably go in /usr/share/licenses/$pkgname

According to http://www.bluez.org/download/ the firmware pkg shouldn't be required anymore and is deprecated with bluez v5.

Can we drop it?

I can confirm that I need bluez-firmware for making my bluez5 rehcognise my device.
So the guy that in bluez tink that firmware isn't needed maybe not test it in all the hardware possible.

so not drop it, or if you want merge with linux-firmware

I doubt this. What I read about firmware on the bluez mailing list all still requires stuff goes into the linux-firmware git repo and so into our linux-firmware pkg.

Check http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/log/?qt=grep&q=blue

Can you confirm your required firmware is present there or ask in IRC #bluez how to deal in the future with it?
I'd like to remove the obsolete package.

You're probably right. This Broadcom firmware is not part of the linux-firmware pkg. I'm going to fix the license path.

note: other distros refuse to package it due to no permission to redistribute it.
