In lxdm 0.4.1-20, the --sbindir path has been changed to /usr/bin due to which lxdm-binary is now present at /usr/bin/lxdm-binary, but the script /usr/bin/lxdm (which is called by lxdm.service systemd file) still calls /usr/sbin/lxdm-binary, due to which lxdm fails to start. That's a really nasty fault because you can't directly see what is broken (at least I did not).
