Details

Description:

If I save a project and/or export a video in OpenShot, no matter what is the folder I choose for it to save, the files always end up in $HOME/Desktop.

This was reported here - http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1579

But this has marked as a GTK+2 bug which was fixed in the current version - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/1125260

A quote from one of the users:

"Just updated to 13.04 and this bug was the first thing I tried to replicate. I attempted to produce the bug in OpenShot, since that's where I run into it the most, and everything has worked normally. Unable to reproduce the bug."

However, I can reproduce this bug in Arch Linux.

Additional info:
2.24.17-1
gtk2 2.24.17-1

Steps to reproduce:
Work on any project on OpenShot, save it. The dialog box will provide an option to choose where the project file will be saved, but the .osp file will be stored on $HOME/Desktop no matter what.

Works for me. Selecting ~/test as the destination correctly saves the projects in ~/test.

Please also try to write less confusing subjects on future bugreports.

openshot 1.4.3-1
gtk2 2.24.17-1

After some research, it's totally logical that this bug is still occuring. Reading the actual upstream report on bugzilla.

""I'm afraid you'll have to wait until 2.24.18; these fixes appeared after
2.24.17 :)""
