DetailsDescription:
This issue seems to be fairly intermittent. I'm running a small cluster with PXE booting nodes, using a shared, read-only NFS root. Most of the time, when I try booting any of the nodes, it fails with: http://hpaste.org/87128 But sometimes it succeeds: http://hpaste.org/87129 As you see by the timestamps, this was just 2 minutes later, without actually touching anything on the NFS server - and the mount succeeds just fine. The mount seems to work for a while after restarting the rpc-mountd service as well: http://hpaste.org/87130 My exports look like this (the fsid values were added while trying to debug this): http://hpaste.org/87131 There is a similar issue posted recently on the gentoo forums: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-953124-start-0.html Additional info: * package version(s) util-linux 2.22.2-2 nfs-utils 1.2.6-4 linux 3.8.7-1 Steps to reproduce: I've followed this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Diskless_System The root filesystem is nfs3. |

- Field changed: Summary ([nfs-utils][linux] NFS mount fails - "qword_eol: fflush failed: errno 9 (Bad file descriptor)" → [nfs-utils][linux] 3.8.7 NFS mount fails - "qword_eol: fflush failed: errno 9 (Bad file descriptor)")
any update? status with 3.11?
