Details

Description:
Actually from the applet in the panel properties is broken unles one have gstreamer0.10-plugins installed, I mean not run an the applet show as no-sound
This happend in my system,I try to figure what dep of gstreamer0.10-plugins allongside the actual one is needed, bu tI ended intalling all the plugins and then re properties run again
Aditionally the detection of pulseaudio in xfce4-mixer (from the menu) fail unles the same conditions, I mean Playback audio isnot show intil I intall gstreamer0.10-plugins

(Yes I have pulseaudio and alsa)

this indicate that gstreamer0.10-base-plugins isnot the only gstreamer0.10-plugin needed

Additional info:
* xfce4-plugin 4.10.0

Steps to reproduce:
install xfce4-mixer whitout any other gstreamer except the actual dep ion this package and try to run properties fom the applet
aditionally in a pulseaido system 'PlayBack audio' option is missing form 'Audio card'
This task depends upon

Works fine for me on an ALSA system; not sure about PulseAudio.

You might also want to look at volumeicon as an alternative, in case that works better for you.

Installing gstreamer0.10-plugins (all)
make xfce4-mixer capable of detecting and handling 'internal audio whatever' that is used by pulseaudio (in my sistem, tis apply for xfce4-mixer and they applet

for now I tink that a post intall note talking about that for partial pulseaudio support one neede too intall all the gstreamer0.10-plugins

what you tink about that??
