Since installing gtk3-3.8.1-1, gtk3 apps won't start (e.g. emacs).
Changing the theme in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini fixes the issue.

The version of oxygen-gtk3 I have installed is the latest available, 1.1.2-1.

Status with oxygen-gtk3-1.1.3?

Emacs still doesn't work when the theme is set to oxygen-gtk. Maybe it's just a problem with emacs?

Seems like oxygen-gtk3-demo does work no matter what theme is selected.

It's not just Emacs, EasyTAG seems to be affected as well.

I've also met this problem, and finally I found that I'm using the old gtk3 version from ubuntu. After updated to 3.8.1, the theme works again.

Not sure if this helps, but re-check your gtk3 version.
