DetailsGSynaptics is no longer maintained, and the original maintainer recommends[1] to try GPointing Device Settings[2] instead.
According to bug reports in Fedora[3] and Debian[4], gsynaptics doesn't work with recent X.Org, and was already replaced with gpointing-device-settings. So please remove gsynaptics from the [community] repository, and add gpointing-device-settings instead.
