This is not a packaging error. Your system contains unofficial packages that cause libpng 1.14.x to get linked in.

I have installed libpng and wesnoth from the official repositories

You're right.. i check my localy installed packages and i have libpng14 installed. I don't know how to clean the mess now but don't worry I'll post it in the forums
