Description:

X fails to start with headless.

Upstream bug is reported at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59190 , but the patch is not yet applied.
After applyng the patch(http://lists.x.org/archives/xorg-devel/2013-January/035086.html), problem is gone.

Can you apply the patch to current xorg-server package?

The patch was not applied to the stable 1.14 branch. I tend to leave it up to you to use abs for applying the patch locally.

I applied the attached patch and it works successfully for the following scenario as well: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62916

Basically I couldn't switch VTYs at all using the nouveau driver within xorg (the server crashed). This issue has been around for a few months, not sure why it wasn't included in stable.
