Details
Description:
Amarok requires libmariadbclient and mariabd-clients installed in order to provide Local Collections. Additional info: * amarok 2.7.0-4 * Forum topic: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1255891#p1255891 Steps to reproduce: 1. Install and launch Amarok 2. Go to "Settings"/"Configure Amarok..."/"Local collection" 3. Select any folder with music files 4. Press "Full rescan" - program will take no action 5. Close setting windows 6. Open it again - previously selected directory is not selected now (no changes saved) Solution: add libmariadbclient and mariabd-clients to amarok package dependency list (or at least add it to optinoal dependencies). |

They are already dependencies via mariadb. The problem is that the
mysql packages provide them, so if you have mysql installed they
will not be replaced. The right fix is to stop mysql* providing
mariadb*, since they are not drop-in replacements (at least for
amarok)
I guess this can be closed now that mysql is gone from the repos?
