Description:
Gedit keeps crashing when I try to create or edit text files with Myanmar text. When it crashes, the following message is displayed: *** Error in `/usr/bin/gedit': realloc(): invalid next size: 0x0000000000bbf800 *** The address at the end changes from run to run. Running the application in gdb, I sometimes get the previous message and then gdb hangs, and sometimes I get the following message: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. 0x00007ffff71fa9a5 in ?? () from /usr/lib/libgtk-3.so.0 Also, I have seen the following message several times (although I'm having a hard time find a situation that reliably produces it): (gedit:978): Gtk-CRITICAL **: _gtk_css_rgba_value_get_rgba: assertion `rgba->class == >K_CSS_VALUE_RGBA' failed Also, I saw the following message once after opening gedit and banging on the keyboard with a Burmese keyboard layout selected. Segmentation fault (core dumped) Additional info: * Gedit version is 3.6.2-2 Steps to reproduce: * Open gedit from the terminal by typing `gedit` * Select a Burmese keyboard layout * Type the Burmese Tachawngin character (the K key) until the entire line is full * Once you hit the end of the line, gedit should hang, and the `invalid next size` message should be displayed in the terminal |
