DetailsLinux Kernel should have VFAT support builtin, not as a module.
In new computes, where UEFI support is mandatory, can happen to dummy users (as I am) to forget to mount or correctly update linux kernel in EFI partition. This is not a big deal if efi partition (a FAT partition) can be mounted and let the user to update the kernel. But if the users boot with the old kernel and has modules only for the new one, and cannot mount the efi partition to copy the kernel, is like to be locked outside the car with keys inside. |
