I've been using qupzilla built against qt5 everyday since two weeks now, and all seems to be working fine (maybe better than the qt4 version).
All except flash. It seems like qt5-webkit is still not ready yet to support flash well as I reported also here:

https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/issues/797

Probably the flash issues has already been fixed in trunk and will be available with qt5-webkit 5.0.2
Since flash is one of those things that should work in a browser, I'm not going to push a qt5 qupzilla build until this is fixed.

Meanwhile you can use qupzilla-qt5 from AUR:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qupzilla-qt5/

I tried qupzilla compiled against qt5 today and flash player (at least on youtube) still doesn't work properly. Lots of redrawing issues. Everything else seems working and stable.

At least for YouTube you don't need flash. :)

I think it's time to close this task, because QupZilla 1.4.4 still has various problems with qt5, so replacing the qt4 package is not an option.

@speps: maybe you can move qupzilla-qt5 package into the [community] repository, and maintain side-by-side with the qt4 version, similar to midori and midori-gtk3.

@City-busz: That seems like a nice workaround. I wasn't aware of the midori situation.

@speps: I second the above solution.

As one of the contributors to the QupZilla project and in a close contact with the author and main programmer I can say that the version 1.5, which is in development, i stable and works allright if compiled with qt5. So perhaps alternative solution could be to have QupZilla from git?

@demon: no, it's not an option, because we always package the stable releases.
