DetailsDescription:
Chromium is freezing sporadically, it will work for a bit, then certain tabs will refuse to load, stuck with a unrendered orpartially rendered page. It seems to be website dependent and tab dependent. Once a tab starts freezing it won't unfreeze. But other tabs won't freeze unless I browse to that specific page. I have tried this with and without pepper-flash-stable, and with all of my extensions removed. google-chrome from the AUR on the same machine works fine. Also it will leave lots of zombie floating processes around when I quit. Additional info: chromium 25.0.1364.172-1 nvidia 313.26-2 google-chrome 25.0.1364.172-1 64 bit machine Steps to reproduce: Open chromium. Browse internet for a while. Tab will freeeze on loading. Browse to that website in other tabs, they will also be frozen. |

Chromium leaves zombies on NVIDIA machines because of NVIDIA. If you are an NVIDIA user, you might notice these zombies in the processes. Killing them might be a temporary solution until the come up again.

I have also manually compiled chromium withoout tcmalloc support, what causes the bug with nvidia. The freezes are still occurred and I still saw some leaking processes.

Are we waiting for new NVIDIA drivers or for new version of Chrome? At me even the newest Google Chrome (not Chromium) doesn't work fine.

Please test chromium 26.0.1410.43-3 which is built without tcmalloc.

I've been using chromium 26.0.1410-3 and it seems to have fixed the problem. At least for me it is safe to close the issue. If it reappears I will reopen the issue.
